Uncle Danny!

Last Saturday our good friend Danny Edvalson flew from California to come and visit us! We were so happy to see him! Erin and the boys had to stay home this time- but we got to skype with them, and we're planning a vacation for this fall so that we can all get together. Jake and I have learned that good friends are really important, and really hard to find! So even though our families live almost 2,000 miles away from each other, we made a promise that we would get together at least once a year. Hopefully at some point we can actually live close again!

Jake and Dylan finished work early on Saturday and went to the airport to pick up Danny in the afternoon. When they got here we went swimming right away. It was 100 degrees that day- and the water felt good!

After swimming we ate dinner, and then just talked. It was really nice to catch up on what their family is up to, and to hear about how much Chad and Isaac are growing up. It is really cool that our boys are the same age, and are going through all of the same stages at the same time.

The next day was Sunday, and we all went to church together. Danny used to live in the ward that we currently live in, and it was great to watch members of the ward get excited to see him again.

Sunday afternoon was playing, and napping, and then we all had a big yummy pork roast dinner. I've been making big meals and desserts for the guys while Danny has been here, and then I found out this morning that at home he has been practicing a vegetarian and low sugar diet. Whoops! Oh well, it's a vacation right?!

Work this week has been great! Jake had a great month in May, and last week Jake passed the 200 mark on his serviced sales- and we were all pretty excited about that! He is still learning new things every day about the people here, and he enjoys every day being different from the last.

The kids and I are good too. We are just learning, and playing, and chilling in our air conditioned apartment every day. The boys sleep together in one bed now, (because I got tired of pulling Jess out of Jack's bed constantly) and they love it! They just sleep on either end- after wrestling and giggling for at least 45 minutes of course!

Our friends here in Texas are moving to Utah this week- and we're pretty bummed about that. They were our only friends here that have boys our boys' age. :( It'll be good to get to visit Boise in a week so that we can see our family!! Only 5 more days and we'll be there!!
